Letter Writing

Writer's block is real. Especially when you are writing your first letter, it can be hard to think of something to write! Below are some great prompts to start out with.

COVID- 19 Related Prompts

- If you've been quarantined, how have you been spending your time?

- Have you learned any news skills during this time?

- How have you been able to keep up with pre-existing responsibilities?

- How have you been able to simulate life as normal during these times?

- How have you been able to simulate life as normal during these times?

- What don't you miss about living life "as normal"?

- When do you think it's right to start opening places up again?

- What is one change you want to see in the world when this is all over?

General Prompts

- Do you reccomend any movies/tv shows to binge ?

- What genre of music do you listen to? Any favorite artists?

- How are you doing?

- Are there any social justice issues you feel passionate about?

- Do you have any hobbies ?

- Any book recommendations?

- Are you into any sports?

- What got you interested in joining this project?

Remember not to forget talking about yourself as well! As you and your partner get to know each other better, it will get so much easier to find and have meaningful conversations about a particular subject. A good rule of thumb is to stay away from political/controversial subjects until you are sure both of you are on the same page! If any suspicious activity is brought up, don't hesitate to report it here. Most importantly- don't forget to enjoy yourself and really have fun with this!
